Try intermittent fasting. Google it. I'm too tired to explain... lol. I'm in the same boat (a stress eater, and have injuries so difficult to work out). It's worked for me. And I've gotten the best results from clean eating. For me, it was more of a cleanse, because I had been eating so bad the past few months prior, and I never used to. I went back to the way I ate before (which was mostly clean) and dropped almost 10lbs in 2 weeks. I haven't been actively dieting or working out since because I'm dealing with the medical issues, so I can't really tell you how much it helped past then.0

I know what you are going through, I have been there myself and I'm sure hundreds of others on this site have too. You have some initial success, then you stall for a little while and start questioning what you're doing. So you do some research and find dozens of conflicting stories, methods and diets.
You should do paleo, you should do super-low carb, eat raw, try atkins, be a vegan, no just follow IIFYM, try intermittent fasting etc etc.
The biggest problem as far as I see it is over thinking the issue! I have been really guilty of this - it's in my nature.
OK so my advice is to simplify, remember the one and ONLY weightloss truth. To lose weight you must consume less energy than you burn. Remembering this makes everything else seem slightly less important.
There will of course be people who benefit more from cutting out grains or dairy etc, but if there are no underlying medical issues, you will lose weight this way. Don't get caught up in how fast or slow the process is, just let it happen (I know this is ridiculously hard to do).
You have identified that you are a stress eater, so find out what your triggers are and find other solutions that dont involve eating. Do you get stressed at work? Don't keep any junk food around and make sure you have healthy snacks on hand. Eat late at night, same rules for at home.
Just remember that you don't have to be perfect, you just have to be consistent!0 -
Thasnks to both of you.. I do over think.. man there is so much information out there.. its like where do you turn .. which do you do?... so definitely good insight... thanks0
