I want to hear from you. How many calories do you usually burn in a session? Are you losing weight? Also, how can I obtain this? Very expensive? How much room is needed to move? I really just have lots of questions as I am thinking of adding this to my schedule.

  • I am in my 3rd week of Insanity.... I have lost 10 lbs and 12 inches.... I burn an average of 500+ calories every workout out.... except the recovery one... it's stretching and not cardio. Insanity does not involve weights or bands or any equipment other than a yoga mat and a heart rate monitor. It doesn't take up a lot of room... just about enough room to do push ups and lunges... maybe an 8X8 area so you can do the traveling moves without issue... It is a very intense workout and it comes by it's name rightfully! It is INSANE!!!!!

I was just reading in another post where a girl injured a knee doing Insanity. Is this a common problem?

I've been thinking about it as well. I thought about P90X but needed too much equipment and sent it back :)

P90X is something else I am interested in. What sort of equipment does it need?
  • P90X uses bands, weights and a pull up bar. There are alternate moves you can do with bands instead of weights and the pull up bar... P90X also has a 3 different workout schedules depending on if you want to have more cardio, cardio & muscle building or more muscel building. Insanity is a 60 day workout and P90X is 90 days. Two totally different workouts.

I did Chalean Extreme and lost 23 lbs in 90 days. I am now doing insanity. I am only able to do Insanity now because I did Chalean Extreme. CLX has far less equipment needed than P90x, and very challenging as well. If any of you ladies have questions let me know! I have done of all of the Beachbody programs!
