Does it have to be water?

Probably a dumb question, but does it have to be water. I know it says you should drink like 8 cups of water a day or something like that, but could you drink any unsweetened beverage instead? Please say yes
I would much prefer unsweetened iced tea.

No. Your body will use the water in other fluids (and food). Even sweetened and caffeinated drinks.

No it doesnt. You get water from the foods you eat also. But be careful with tea it can dehydrate you. try crystal light or mio0
