low heart rate

Hi everyone I would love some tips (like what to eat) on how to get my heartrate up as I sit here typing this it is 53 a low and 58 a high sure I can get it up most of the time working out like a high of 160 but sometimes not more then 125. HELP!!! I have looked it up on the internet and EVERYTHING IS HOW TO LOWER NOT RAISE YOUR HEART RATE!

Why do you want to increase it? If it's a medical concern, you should talk to your doctor.
Though, for what it's worth, if I'm sitting at my desk my HR is in the 50s too. Unless I'm drinking coffee0 -
The reason everything is to lower your heart rate is because generally (UNLESS WE'RE TALKING ABOUT LEGIT MEDICAL CONDITIONS, in which case see your doctor) lower heart rate = better.
125-160 during exercise is fine.
I assume you want to increase your heart rate because you think it burns calories... but an increased heart rate is in comparison to your base heart rate, so increasing your base heart rate does nothing.0
