Meals for 12 Hour Shifts

I'm starting a new job where two of the days I work each week will be 12 hour shifts. Does anyone have a similar situation? I'm interested in knowing a meal schedule that will work well with it. I think the negative outcomes could be I either eat too much during the shift because I feel like I've been there so long, and also the opposite of that... where I don't eat often enough because I don't want to over-do it.

I work one 12 hour shift. I bring a bag full of things like an apple, cucumber slices, grapes, cheese, popcorn, carrot sticks and so on, and then I bring a more substantial meal for lunch/dinner (I'll either bring one big meal and split it in 2, or 2 smaller meals). Sometimes I get freezer section dinners because we have a freezer and microwave. The point is, don't let yourself go hungry and have a lot of healthy easy snacks on hand, then 2 bigger meals for lunch/dinner. I drink so much water on my 12 hr because I mostly just sit at my desk and read and wait for the phone to ring so, the water just disappears from my cup.

Prep good meals the night before and bring all your own food to work. I work 10 hour days and at first I was bringing too much food. I adjusted as time passed and now have it down. Think about two meals and some snacks.

    Good luck.

BTW: I only really cook on weekends. Most everything I eat all week is from that cooking session.
