I've been tracking my calories in, exercise, and weight since the beginning of December. I hadn't been exercising so those estimates (which I probably would inflate) aren't a significant factor. I've lost 9 pounds since December 2nd which means that I've had a 31,500 calorie deficit over that time period (if the 3500cal/pounds is correct). This averages out to a daily deficit of about 875 calories/day. On my calorie sheet I'm actually averaging 1444 net calories over this same time period. If I add my average net to my average deficit as calculated by my lbs lost it would be 2319.

My averages are calculated over 36 days

total weight lost - 9 bls
9lbs = 31,500 calories
31,500/36 days = 875 average deficit
875 + 1444 (average calories) = 2319 ?

Am I doing this right? If I am I guess I can't claim I have a slow matabolism anymore!:embarassed:

    I would say no, as BMR does not factor in getting out of bed and moving. What you are calculating is your maintenance calories at your current activity level.
