scaning food items

Has anyone else noticed that sometimes when you scan an item the calories come up different than what the package actually says?
Why would this be and which count is more accurate?
As far as I know, there is no way to edit it once you scan other than just deleting and entering as a manual entry but its sometimes as much as 10 calories different....

I notice this sometimes. If its just 10 or less I would not worry about it. I double check the fat, carbs etc to check they are pretty much right.
It might just be because the company changed the ingredients slightly and the database has not been updated.
The package values are not always going to 100% accurate anyway, there's always a small margin of error so I only put it in manually if the difference is big.0
