Hi Everyone, not sure if I am going to be able explain this clearly enough to make any sense, but here it goes.

I have been walking for exercise and it has been wonderful, I am losing weight and everything is great, but about 3 weeks ago I started getting a weird cramp-like pain on my right side right under my ribcage, like right where my liver is. You know the pain you get when you run too much when you aren't use to running? This pain stays there for most of my walk and makes it less enjoyable. I think it has something to do with the way I am breathing while exercising but honestly have no clue. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced the same thing? I have an appointment with my doc on Monday and will ask her about then as well.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Side_stitch (see prevention)

Try straightening/improving your posture as you walk and breathing deeply from your diaphragm not shallow from your chest.

I've noticed this sometimes when I haven't had enough water to drink. Could you be dehydrated? Good luck!

I read that being dehydrated could cause it as well, snebel. I try to drink roughly 12 cups of water a day, but I don't drink while I am working out so maybe that is causing some of it as well. I didn't have much pain during my workout last night trying some of the breathing techniques so that did seem to help. Thanks again for the advice :)
