Oh....my....gosh!! He looks 20 years younger! ....and more importantly, probably FEELS 20 years younger!! What an inspiration. That is why I love this lifestyle so much....just another testimony to weight training and clean eating--and it's 99% a mental game! Overcome the mental part of it, and you've got absolutely nothing to hold you back! I highly recommend reading his story as well. Thanks again for that one musclebuillder.

Don't mention it Mk:) When he told me today about it I thought of your post and asked him could I post his story here. He was on all kinds of medication for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, you name it! He is off all his meds and routinely gets checked out by his dr who recently said "I wish all my 50 year old patients were as healthy as you" But all that great stuff a side. The effort he puts in to his daily and weekly workouts is incredible. I love reading his daily progress. Thanks for taking the time to read his story.

I really appreciate you posting this. I went to the women's section and read a womans profile who went for I think 357 to fitness model. That is very encouraging. :flowerforyou:

I'm also almost at my weight goal and realized that I really needed to incorporate weight training into my routine! About two months ago I went in for an evaluation at the gym and even though I was happy with my weight, I was not happy with 30.2% body fat. After that, my goal is to lose fat and gain muscle. So I picked up a fantastic book called "The New Rules of Lifting for Women" (they also have one for men). They have a 6 month schedule done up of exercises along with lots of great info and some recipes. I highly recommend it!
I nearly bought this book too, it looks good, I might get it later. I purchased "strength training anatomy" by Frederic DeLavier that is excellent! It has anatomical drawings of the muscles worked by each exercise, with detailed explanations of proper form, and how variations of the exercise works slightly different muscles.

Thank you for the recommendation! I purchased "The New Rules of Lifting for Women" and read it this week--love it! I will not be using their strength training routines exactly as outinlined, but am incorporating a lot of their exercises into my own workouts. I will look up "Strength Training Anatomy" as well and possibly purchase....
