Hi--
looking for advice from someone who has similar experience:
Monday morning - weighed myself - 172 lbs. Monday to Thurday consumed average of 1500 cals / day with some exercise (recommended 1700 cals / day for my body weight). Friday morning I'm at 174 lbs. Is this starvation (low metabolism) effect? am I too impatient? Any thoughts?
Thanks.

This is totally normal. My weight fluctuates by up to five pounds all the time. You retain different amounts of water on different days. I like to weigh myself every day and then either graph it (with a trendline on the graph) or take a five day average. Either of those methods will give you a sense as to whether an increase is real or just a normal fluctuation.0

I am not a fan of daily weighing but this is one of the most sensible things I have heard in a while about weighing! Your weight will always fluctuate no matter what you do so this would help you to see that you are winning. It is always possible though that you are not eating enough as you are not eating what you are recomended. It also looks like you may not have huge amounts to lose in which case it will be quite tough! Just keep at it and you will win!!0
