Water!

I have been wondering if the 8 glasses of water that are meant to be drunk should be on top of the water I drink while exercising? I usually drink about 1500ml on a good work out and then sup about 4-6 glasses during the day...

The 8 8oz cups are in the normal course of the day. But, lets face it, our bodies dehydrate when we are sick, when we deal with extreme heat, or extreme cold, thus rendering our bodies to need/require more water.

But, we also get water from natural sources like most fresh vegetables and fruits. These however are not a full replacement for actual water, rather than a great natural supplement. (YAY, it doesnt involve a pill!, LOL!)

The "8 glasses a day" thing is actually a myth. Everything you drink (yes, even caffeinated beverages) hydrates you, as does most food you eat. How much hydration you need depends mostly on your activity level and climate.

Thanks! I heard that on the radio a few weeks back but wasn't sure if right or not. It is good to know as I do drink quite a bit of green tea!
