Walk there and eat the calories?

I was reminded by the subway post that is going on about how most people try to count eaten calories in and forget calories out.

Half my office take their lunch time by driving a mile to get lunch, bringing it back and sitting in the break room and eating it.

Today was a gorgeous day, so I went for brisk a walk, burned off 284 calories according to the HRM and grabbed a 6" subway sandwich for lunch and ate it on the walk back. Net gain on the lunch... 60 calories!

    Love it!!

Earlier this summer, I really wanted to try a new Muddy Bean Boot ice cream flavor that Gifford's put out in honor of the LL Bean 100th anniversary so I walked all the way to the ice cream stand and back (7-8 miles round trip, can't remember exactly) and more than earned my treat!

I totally exercise to eat. Did two hours today so that I don't have to worry about going over tonight. Love it!
