Woo Hoo....Somethings Working!!!!!!

Another Newbie am I !!!!!! Ok...for the first time I stuck to my New Years Resolution and it is starting off right. I might me nuts....but on Friday...New Years day I got a new scale. Hubby sprung for one of those crazy ones that measure your BMI etc.....I tried explaining that as long as that triple digit number goes down I dont care what it does! So after reading the book that comes with it I programed it....my weight (at night, which I know is bad) was 183.4. His was 184.9 so yay me I DID NOT weigh more than him which he thought. Saturday I found this site on my phone and thought yea...track what I eat...uh oh...based on the honor system.....much easier than I thought....seeing what I eat broken down into the right portions and my serving and nutrional value made me do it all differently. I stopped adding salt to my food...I use Mrs. Dash on everything. I don't particularly care for water so I drink Vitamin Water and Raspberry Seltzer. I am tracking my calories here which is actually cool.....my daily calorie goal 1200.....sometimes I don't even make it to that much. I just started the exercising.....treadmill, recumbent bike and my ab coaster....yea I know pros and cons about that one but it has helped me before...it better help again. I have this metallic grey bikini that I wanna get into and my ticker below...thats where I wanna go when I reach my goal. My hubby and I took that pic back in 98 after I had my first son and managed to get back down to 125...you know when the metabolism hasn't completely come to a screeching halt. Now 12 years and a total of two children later.....I wanna go back there in an even better teeny weeny bikini.

Just a note...I know people can lead hectic lives and grabbing a Lean Cuisine frozen entree is easy...but I read the back...I almost died when I read 600 mg's of sodium....thats just plain nuts. On weekends grill extra chicken breast or fish ....package em into small portions with veggies aside and drizzle teriyaki sauce or a marinade on it.....come home pull it out and zap it. You'll save so much more money and its got way less salt.....just my opinion. Oh and another thing...I have one of those Foreman Grills....I grilled and 8oz. petite sirloin (which took up alot of my calories (damn good though) and it came out great....to think I have been frying everything!!!!!!! As of my start the scale says I lost 3 pounds.....between no salt and all the sweating from that treadmill and such..it better be going down!!!!!
