Lost an inch on one arm.. not the other

I just started strength training, using 8-pound weights. I've been working hard, and my workouts are 'total body' but typically more focus on arm exercises than lunges or squats. I'm ready to move onto heavier weights, less reps. However...
Both of my arms started out at 13inches... Now my left arm is 12, but my right is still 13. What in the world did I do?!
