After being extremely overweight for the last 10 years, I am ready to start losing the weight for good. Those in college know the stress of school and the difficulties that one encounters when trying to lose weight. As a college senior I am ready to lose the weight while managing a busy schedule.

I lost weight during my junior and senior years in undergrad. And then I moved and gained it all back plus some. Now I'm just getting back into it. I'm in my final semester of grad. school and hoping that this semester will be relatively simple so that I can also focus on exercising and eating right. I've gained 10lbs from the holidays alone (disgusting).
Anyway, today was my first day to the gym in awhile and first time tracking my food in awhile too. I went over--ate all the calories I "lost" while working out and then some on top of that =( Discouraging. But I did it once, I'll do it again. Just gotta get back into the swing of things!! I wanna at least be to the size I was when I moved here by graduation in May and by the end of the year I would like to be my goal weight. I'm getting married next year, so I have a major initiative.
Good luck to you! I hope you succeed! It IS possible with school!0 -
I am right there with ya. I've lost, put on, lost, and realllyyyy put on the weight in college. Constant academic stress while working and such is a killer...but that's why we're here Best of luck to you!0

I completely agree, when I was in high school I thought I was "fat" even though I was about what I should be at a healthy weight. I began gaining weight, especially freshman year of college. They always say the freshman 15, and I didn't even realize it was actually happening to me. I started realizing I was not happy with my appearance and most of my clothes were becoming tight or not fitting at all. That's when I decided that needed to change. Since then I have become a vegetarian, which helped me to lose about 10 pounds! I also started working out, which I had never done in my life since I was always so active. I didn't really know how to work out, so that caused some difficulties for me. I started with just cardio-elliptical. That did help but not enough. Now I am doing P90X and I absolutely love it. Sometimes it can be challenging, which is a good thing, but it can also be fun in a way because I know it is helping me significantly. I hope to reach my goal weight by the time spring comes so I can finally be confident with myself, for the first time ever! Good luck to you girls!!0
