SO...another week! I'm down a pound since last week! YAY! I went to BodyPump last night and burned almost 500 calories! My goal for now is to go to BodyPump two times a week. My dilemma is this...I hate leaving my daughter more than I already do, so don't like to leave her to go to the gym when I get home from work. We are supposed to be getting a treadmill from my mother-in-law, but the thing is REALLY heavy and so my husband needs someone to help him get it into our basement. He has three brothers who all live with his parents still, but they all seem to be too lazy to help. PLUS it's so darn cold out right now! So...my cardio may be minimal for now, but I will get back to that soon also! I think I'm going to also aim to do an ab video at least three times a week...to help get rid of that baby belly!
On another note...my daughter is FOUR MONTHS OLD today!!!!!!!!!!! Where did that time go?! It feels like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant and that was over a year ago!!!!!!! CRAZY!!!!!

get a pedometer and get in 10000 steps it's not cardio, but, it's something to make you feel like you accomplished something and it can take the whole day.
the pedometer has been my new hang up. at least i can concentrate on that and feel good i got something done. just been so tired. i am working up to the 10000. i try to get at least 5000 now. next week will bump it up to 6000 and so on. the 5000 has been a real challenge for me.
go to doctor today to find out what ultrasound said. hope it showed something as to why the pains and tired and bloating.

Kris, I ran into the same issue after giving birth, and still battle it today. I hate leaving my daughter for even a moment to workout, but in order to have a happier and healthier you, you have to workout. Just remember that it's for your health -- to keep you alive longer and healthier, which is a benefit to your daughter. Try to focus in on that fact and it will make leaving her to workout a little easier. :flowerforyou:0 -

cathy- HI! You are totally right I am super excited and happy! Basically being a divemaster means I can lead tours, take out boats filled with certified divers to dive sites, I can assist Instuctors with their classes, and I need to be insured haha. Essentially I can work in a Diveshop, or assist a dive operation! However, the way I became certified was through a boyscout high adventure camp called Florida Seabase. I essentially got certified for free! In exchange I offer myself for a season to work as a divemaster for Florida Seabase. (getting you DM normally costs about 1,300 dollars! 0.o) So I will be working/living, at Seabase for the summer hopefully, getting everything provided for me, and a paycheck of $260 a week! And at the end of the summer I can live their for free and get my Instructor at Florida Keys Dive Center! (FSB is located on Islamorada, one of the florida keys!) Good luck with ur appointment! I hope all goes well!!!
I am having a great day! I am in Florida until saturday with my boyfriend! He lives in Ocala, so I am staying here for a week with him since we dont get to see each other very often with over a 1000 miles between us! I had left over noodles for brunch, and I dont really have any means for exorcise besides triple X rated activity haha. :blushing:

Tagging for later. I am not sure if I am going to weigh in though. I started taking iron pills yesterday. I was sick as a dog and there is also a nice little side effect of constipation. I am not taking them anymore and have emailed my doc to see if there is an alternative path we can go down. I cant deal with daily nausea

Went to Kadence's 4 month check up today...she had her second bunch of shots...poor girl! We'll be starting rice cereal! Can't wait to see how that goes!

appt....ultrasound was too cloudy, but, as they could see everything looked ok. he said i didn't have my ovaries. what. story goes. doc who did my hysterectomy said he took them. my now gyn says they are still there. now ultrasound says they are gone. so now i have to have a ct scan. that's fine with me, cause then i know my insides will be looked at.
so....i asked him will if that and my blood work came back all hunky dory why do i feel like i did when i weighed almost 300 and bloated and my right lower and rib area hurt. he said it could just be from adding the weight. and he said we were going to do an experiment. here is where i need your help please. he wants me to do a weight loss, semi rapid to see if can lose in at least 3#s in the next month. if i can't lose than there is something wrong. these are my instructions:
1) do my diabetic carb counting 45 per meal, 15 morn/afternoon snack and 30 evening.
2) run/walk 5 days a week with HR at least 130 or higher for 45-60 mins. would like twice day morning and afternoon.
now he said if i begin losing he wants to adjust the food intake. and he wants me to run as much of that as i can. keeping from further injury to my ankle and running w/asthma. he said he would like me to get my HR up to 150 for that time frame.
so, pulling out old charts from dietitian and getting a chart together so i can show him what i did.
tomorrow i begin.

that dam thing was taken out a year ago 132+ stones. surgeon said a few got away when it fell apart on him. LOL. funny he asked me that today. than he remembered the week of appts. started on monday, ultrasound on tues, wed back in his office, thurs in with surgeon, monday in the hospital.

Well Kids,
Entered all my food for the day and did my 3 mile walk today. So far so good at keeping the calories in check. Half of my water is consumed. Yeah!!!!

My body is already appreciating the better food I'm eating today. I don't feel bloated and gross, and my water even tastes good to me. It's crazy how even one good day of eating can make me feel so much better. Maybe I need to start journaling or something to remind myself when I'm back at my goal weight how much physically and mentally better I feel there. Even in the 170s, I still have low self-esteem picking out clothes and stuff like that, but I can just grab clothes out of my closet without trying on 100 things first, and when I'm frustrated I can go for a long jog instead of eating junk food.

i agree with you ali on walking into the closet and just pulling something off the hanger or out of the drawer and putting it on, and changing because you didn't like the way those pants went with that shirt or shoes what ever. instead of the it doesn't fit, it doesn't hide this or that. i want those days back too......i WILL get those days back.

Done okay eating wise so far today. (I think)
Had oatmeal with raisins and almonds. Coffee with some half and half, for lunch had grapes, apples and cheese, snacking yogurt and some animal crackers (babysitting =D) and then for dinner...I hope I make a smart decision.0 -

As for me! I have been going strong! 5th day staying within my caloric goals. I got up EARLY this morning and did my elliptical. Old sixers know Im not a morning gal AT ALL. I did the magic 100 challenge (squats,pushups,situps and jumpand jacks), and a bootcamp dvd. All before work! Then I walked at work with a coworker! I'm glad to have gotten all that done before I sat down after work. Im just drained today!!!

I am craving crap right now. I want French Fries SO bad. Good thing I am in bad, but I have to get through tomorrow. It is so hard when all the things I crave and love to eat are things that are not good for your health.0 -
Jennifer - cravings stink. but you can get past them. I find that when I crave things like french fries and chips, it's because my body is low on salt. Maybe some nuts or peanut butter for a healthy alternative? If not, then buy french fries, before you put the first one in your mouth, take out three of them and throw the rest of them away immediately (preferably not in your house as the smell is addictive). Then savor those 3 fries. That's what I do when I get desperate.
Tamm - you are an awesome inspiration. Five straight days is cool. I'm hoping for my third today.
Cathy - You sound like me when going to the doctor's. You want nothing to be wrong, but hoping they find something to get rid of the symptoms. You need to lose 3 lb in a month? I'm assuming they have checked your thyroid and all that good stuff. Hopefully the new regimen will help you. Just don't hurt yourself with the extra increase (hugs to you).
Going to weigh later this morning at the gym as I didn't have a chance to yesterday. Not feeling optimistic as I have been extremely bloated. I had half a cup of chinese lo mein the other night and ever since then, have all the puffiness. Yesterday I drank lots of water and ate great. How long does it take to flush out I wonder. Any experience?

Morning morning girls!:happy: Ready to start a new day? I am! Poor Kadence...she had her four month shots yesterday and was miserable last night!
I spent pretty much the whole evening just cuddling with her. Was okay since it wasn't a workout night for me anyway. But tonight the plan is BodyPump again! My body is still feeling it from Monday, but I need to stick with it! Still hoping that treadmill makes it to our house soon. We're supposed to get snow dumped on us again, which usually puts a damper on getting to the gym. Can only hope for the best!

well, just did my first ever long jog. i jogged 35 mins with 3 one mins walks. my HR was where he wanted it. i longest i have ever jogged was 15mins. this was a big thing for me. (pats self on back). it felt good. got a blister, need to double up on socks.
time to get laundry started and hope to sell a house, need to make that phone call.
