Nope not a stripper but....

It is kind of nice what happens now on a somewhat weekly basis. Not to brag but I am going to brag a bit... I work in the private security industry as an operations manager and I basically meet with my clients every 6 months to a year or so for anual "what are we doing right what are we doing wrong" meetings and so with over 200 clients I usually have a meeting every week. Some of them have not seen me in a year and I get some funny responses...

Here are the best ones I would like to share -

1. Did Michael not tell you I moved the meeting to 630pm ?

I said - Oh, did you tell him, because I dont think he got the email. she said "Oh crap you are Michael, I didnt recognize you"

2. Every time I see you, you are getting smaller ! Now you just look like a giant head on a smaller body! I said "My mom had the same complaint when she gave birth (that was a back handed compliment but funny) the rest of the board was calling the guy an idiot for the big head statement but i didnt care..

3. Where did the rest of you go -

4. Have we spoke before ? "Yes we have" oh... are you Michael ? "yes we have met every year for the last 5 years" ... Did you have surgery or something ? ....

And the best and most awkward one so far.........

5. Oooohhh sexy voice and now sexy body ...Yeah I have some awkward clients...

My coworkers usually come up with some compliments, but I see them every day. Of course, one had taken a vaction photo of me from a few years back off FB (I deleted him as my friend) and printed it out and asked me if I considered myself obese in that photo. YIKES!

Congrats on all the hard work clearly paying off!!

That's funny. I am sure they notice the change immediately because they don't see you often.

My husband and I went to family reunion after I had lost a lot of weight years ago, and one of his aunts refused to speak to us. Later we found out that she didn't recognize me and was upset with my husband because she thought we had split and he was with another woman. :ohwell:

That is awesome! congrats on your loss and those are fantastic compliments! I, too, have been getting almost daily compliments from co-workers for the past few months - it's really nice (but at the same time how many times can I keep saying 'thanks! ' lol).

And the big headed comment... my husband actually said that to me a few weeks ago haha. he said 'your head looks too big for your body now. it's out of proportion. you're like a bobblehead'. GEE, THANKS :grumble: but still, nice in a way.

you must feel so proud to have people totally not recognize you! way to go! :drinker: :happy:

Yeah it was from a woman... but not to say I have been hit on by guys a few times... I guess that is considered an NSV ?
