which has greater success??

Which is better? Setting it up to eat BMR times lightly active minus 20% and not eating exercise calories back; or BMR times sedentary minus 20% and eating back the exercise calories? Does one way help metabolism or calorie burn? I think that, push come to shove I would prefer eating back exercise calories just in case I am not able to get in all of my workouts.
Thanks for your help

You are going to have ardent supporters of both methods. One way isn't better or more effective than the other, it's just what works best for the individual. Which is pretty much the answer for anything in regards to weight loss methods. If one way worked for everyone equally, we'd all be thin.

So if one method (eating exercise calories) sounds more along the lines of how you'd prefer to do it, then go with that method since its easier to follow something you feel is right and believe in. If, three-four months down the line you feel like you aren't getting desirable results, switch it up and try something new. But always give whatever new method you try a decent number of months before deciding its not working since the body isn't going to just instantly adjust and settle in on working or not working after just a couple of weeks.

Good luck on your journey! :)

I like to set activity lower and eat back exercise calories, myself.

I don't eat calories back, but that's because I don't like food that well and have thyroid problems. It's easier doormen me but my opinion is both work so long as you stock to a plan that works for you.
