Thanks for sharing your story. Now I'm off to make sure I don't miss my kids bed time story.

You know that you made God smile and proud you today. Most awesome thing I have heard today.

You, my friend, are God's favorite kid today... and every day. <3

You made right something that was wronged to you and you broke the cycle of rejection today.

    Bravo and GOD BLESS!

I read this quote several months ago, and this post reminded me of it.

"Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them it has always been big stuff." - Catherine M. Wallace

My children are grown now. My youngest is a senior in high school and will be 18 in December. I am reaping what I sowed with them... Not that they are bad kids - they're not... But now that I am healthier, and more active, and actually WANT to do things, the two who still live at home spend most of their time here in their room now instead of spending much time with mom.

I wish I had cared enough about myself, and yes - my children as well, when they were younger and spent more time doing things with them.
