My weight gain was just due to a period of inactivity (laziness!) I have hypothyroidism, so it makes it harder to keep your weight down. For me, it's not nearly as important to watch what I eat and my portions (of course, that matters) but if I do not stay moving and active, the pounds just pile up. But...only 4 weeks into this and I lost 9 lbs...the inches I have lost is crazy - 15 3/4".0 -

Heaviest: 160 when joining here. Possibly more because I already made up my mind to get healthier a few weeks before joining but hadn't weighed myself.
Currently: 132.2 and happy. Might go to 130 before upping my calories again. Not sure.
Lowest: Around 102-103 in college, and again after a bad breakup in my mid 20s. Too skinny. Way too skinny.
Lowest in the past 10 years: 120 in 2002 when I had a jaw problem and couldn't eat. I'm smaller now, though. No muscle then.
Lowest since joining MFP, 125.5 last October... but I'm smaller now.0 -

I was a pretty hefty kid growing up so i was over weight throughout middle and high-school. i dropped my weight playing sports later in high-school and college. My cardiologist asked me to lose 30lbs or be put on more intense medication. I suffered 3 minor strokes starting at the age of 29. My dad died of a heart attack at 46 so my odds are pretty high to follow suit. I started at 145 months ago and have since lost 23lbs, back to boxing, weight lifting and walking. My height is 5'4".
