Hi
I'm 5'1 and have a very small frame. I have calculated that I need 1275 cals a day. I'm trying to lose some weight that I recently put on, but I am confused regarding the calorie deficit. If I maintain a 300 - 500/day deficit I will be below 1200 net cals which everyone agrees that is not good for weight loss. Can someone please shed some light on this?

age, weight, height, body fat percent if you know it. Also, do you work out?
I hate it when people make blanket statements about 1200 cals or whatever stupid blanket statement people make. Since it sounds like you are relatively small, you will probably need to stick with no more than a 20% reduction from your TDEE. Note that TDEE is more than BMR.0 -
