5'5 170+ east coast mom looking for other moms on a mission!

Hello everyone! I've been posting here and there but have yet to do an intro thread.

So, after three kids, half a decade in my desk job, and a lifelong sweet tooth, I hit 183 pounds and was a bit traumatized. Once upon a time, in high school,I looked great....but what does ”I used to” get me? At 30 years old I refuse to believe the best me is behind me so I'm taking action to get the results I want.

My obstacles are:

- sedentary job. I'm a supervisor in a call center. Aside from sitting most of the day, we're always (the company) feeding the reps pizza, cookies, cake, brownies etc to distract them from the monotony of taking phone calls all day long.

-I have a long commute. I get up at 6 am, commute 1 hr, work a full day then commute 1.5 hrs back home thanks to traffic. I usually get home at 7ish.

- sweet tooth. Man I love chocolate, and cookies, and cakes, and anything with sugar. I dream about it at night.

I've been doing great with exercise. Running and circuits have helped me drop 9 lbs so far. Id love to get down to 135 and I'm looking for all the support I can get.

Hello! I'm a mom of 2 nearly grown kids (one is 19, one is 14). I, too have a sedentary job but decided to get my health and life under control after my mom had a stroke a little over a year ago. I have approximately 100 pounds to lose. One of my goals is to get in as much activity as I possibly can througout the work day (stairs, walking, stretching, etc.) and I've been pretty successful doing that. I just feel better overall when I move throughout the day - even when the number on the scale doesn't always reflect my efforts. Sending you a friend request! :o)

Thanks for the add! How do you keep motivated when the scale doesnt change? The last time that happened I got super sad since I'd been working out extremely hard. I ended up restoring to pizza hut. :( I have to make sure I don't make that decision again.,I look forward to supporting you along your journey.
