Hot Fudge Pudding Cake
1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa (divided)
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups boiling water
Preheat oven to 350F.
Butter a 9x9 cake pan
Combine the flour, sugar, 1/4 cup of cocoa, baking powder and salt in mixing bowl. Stir til combined.
Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla and combine til smooth. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth out the top.
Mix together brown sugar, and remaining 1/4 cup of cocoa, and sprinkle over the top of the batter. Gently pour the boiling water over the mixture. DO NOT STIR!
Place 9x9 pan on top of a cookie sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes until top is set. The batter rises and the sauce sinks to the bottom. Let cool for 10 minutes and serve warm.
234 cals per serving... I was able to get 9 servings out of a 9x9 pan..It is higher in calories than most recipes on the board here but it has such a intense chocolate/fudge hit that is well worth the calories if you have them left at the end of the day.
LOL..the picture shows a ravaged pan...but my kids were home...honest!!
Hmm..wonder how it would taste with PB2 chocolate....
