Running in the snow

I have finally ventured out to running on the street and not on a treadmill. The only thing is the winter is coming and I live in Co. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on good shoes, mine have a lot of mesh and get wet fast.

You could just go and get a good pair of trail running shoes, the mesh on top is more tightly woven and the soles have better grip for the snow. I live in Northern Alberta and run all winter. I also use YakTrax on my running shoes if its a little slippery - you just put them on over the soles of your shoes and add a lot of traction (I love mine). Some people also say you can just put duct tape on the top part of the mesh of your shoes but I've never tried that. We don't get wet snow here so its not a big issue for me. Happy running
