Is it true?

I've heard that you don't see the difference in your body yourself when you lose weight until you look at your pictures. Is that true?

It was true for me. I first started noticing that I liked my face better in pictures than before when I really dreaded pictures. I guess I lost weight in my face first and it really showed up in pictures. I only lost around 14 pounds so far.

The changes are relatively gradual, and you see yourself every day. You'll start noticing when something catches your attention that something changed. Even though I saw the scale going down regularly I didn't notice the changes in my body as quickly. Then my clothes started to be looser and looser, so I snapped a pic of my jeans having a couple inch gap at the waist and that was my first obvious sign of my body getting smaller and my first progress pic. Then repeated shopping trips to get smaller and smaller sizes (I'm going broke buying new clothes but looking good doing so!).

Progress pics and / or body measurements are good ways to see the results of your hard work even before your eyes really see it.

Absolutely true for me! And I have to take mine in the same outfit and from the same angle/distance from the mirror... I'm another 7 or so pounds down from the last pic. Here's mine:

I love how evenly you are losing. Some people lose quickly in one area first, but your progression is very uniform. You've maintained the same basic body shape the entire time, you are just shrinking overall. Good work!
