    Very well said.

I call my over-calorie days cheat days/bad days just so everyone knows what I'm talking about, but I don't personally feel like it's a cheat. Why should enjoying my food be cheating? I have beaten myself up over not losing weight or plateauing, but the one thing I have never and will never beat myself up for is enjoying what I eat, whether it's a 300-calorie salad or a 1000-calorie angus third-pounder. :3
  • Just an observation....99% of repliers to this thread are female, does this tell us that females get bored of the nutritional content they are ingesting quicker than males, or simply cant keep up with what they are eating due to changing moods throughout the month?

not trying to be sexist at all, just something i noticed

It tells us that more women replied to this thread. A sample of 15-20 people doesn't tell you anything about anything. I'm also not sure how your question relates to the topic?

The word "cheating" is like the word "diet". Used a bit out of context. If you aren't "dieting", you aren't "cheating".

To say that you've "cheated" because you've had the cheeseburger instead of the salad, or just had to have that bowl of ice cream after your healthy dinner, sounds like a really unhealthy mindset to me.

If eating cheeseburgers and ice cream is cheating, then I'm the Tiger Woods of MFP.
