A lot of job sites like to put you through the ringer, and not deliver any satisfactory results, so I wouldn't bet everything on getting a job through monster.com, or jobing, etc...just because a lot of other people are submitting themselves online, too.

You might be better off borrowing a car from a friend for a day and driving around from place to place, applying in person. A lot of businesses (particularly smaller ones) prefer to see a face, and if they see you have the initiative to walk in yourself, professionally dressed and eager to work, you will have a leg up on everyone else who just submits their resume.

    Good luck!

luckily my ex put me in a hotel until I find something and there are a lot of small businesses around here and bigger ones as well. It is in the busy part of town. He also brought me a printer to print out my resumes for this job searching thing... Just really scared and nervous and on edge ETC... lots on my mind. My son is starting a new school tomorrow as well and I am afraid for him as well ughhhhh

Apply at the hotel you're staying at! Housekeeping, concierge, hospitality, kitchen, etc. Makes perfect sense!

What are your qualifucations?? Also ur ex shouldve bought u a car too!
  • Check out temp services in your area. You might even find some on craigslist. Temp agencies are great places to start, especially if you haven't been working in a while. They might not pay as much, but they can lead to full time employment. I strongly suggest it. Good luck hon.:flowerforyou:
