    2; buy foods that can do double duty. For example, lean ground beef can go in chili, italian (don't discount this!) and mexican foods.
    3; don't discount frozen vegetables.

    It's just you, so cook a meal for for, portion out the other 3 servings and freeze. You'll do less cooking in the long run, saving you time.
