for the first time. I really like the taste but the texture, I'm having a really hard time.
Has anyone found any tricks to make it less rubery? Or, it is what it is. I have the tofu angel hair version.
I really want to like these but I need to figure out a way to adjust to the texture.
I'm one of those weird people who sometimes gag on mashed potatoes. I have issues with textures.

oh wow. I love mashed potatoes. If you are a texture person, I am not sure if you can do anything about it.
Uhm. dry the noodles first (like paper towel) and then poor the sauce or your toppings on it. I am not sure.0 -
i remember reading something about these on previous posts....where can i find these noodles? going grocery shopping today so i'm putting these on my list!0

Yeah, I guess I have to face reality. So much for guilt free carbs.
I'm turned off by them right now. Maybe I'll try again in a few months.0 -

If you live in the city or close to one, you can pick them up at pretty much any asian market. My friend down the street picked them up at a Japanese market for me. I heard you can buy them at health food stores but you'll probably pay much more. Oh, check online too!0 -
That's funny about the on-line stuff - I looked at the ads above the post and there were three ads for Shirataki Noodles  At Whole Foods they are about $1.50 - so even at the health store, they won't break the bank.0

The first ones I tried were the ones from the internet angel hair regular shirataki. I didn't really like them. then i tried the tofu ones and one of the websites i read said to make sure you got the angel hair they are the best. But honestly I love the regular spaghetti shape much better but still buy the angel hair and the fetticuine just to change it up occasionally. If I were you I would just give the other one a chance too I don't even want regular pasta anymore, I feel like I am wasting my calories. Usually I just wash and dry my noodles stick in the microwave with some spaghetti sauce and load it with steamed veggies, or I just throw it in with my stir fry. good luck0
