for the first time. I really like the taste but the texture, I'm having a really hard time.
Has anyone found any tricks to make it less rubery? Or, it is what it is. I have the tofu angel hair version.

I really want to like these but I need to figure out a way to adjust to the texture.

I'm one of those weird people who sometimes gag on mashed potatoes. I have issues with textures.

oh wow. I love mashed potatoes. If you are a texture person, I am not sure if you can do anything about it.

Uhm. dry the noodles first (like paper towel) and then poor the sauce or your toppings on it. I am not sure.
  • i remember reading something about these on previous posts....where can i find these noodles? going grocery shopping today so i'm putting these on my list!

Yeah, I guess I have to face reality. So much for guilt free carbs.
I'm turned off by them right now. Maybe I'll try again in a few months.

If you live in the city or close to one, you can pick them up at pretty much any asian market. My friend down the street picked them up at a Japanese market for me. I heard you can buy them at health food stores but you'll probably pay much more. Oh, check online too!

That's funny about the on-line stuff - I looked at the ads above the post and there were three ads for Shirataki Noodles  At Whole Foods they are about $1.50 - so even at the health store, they won't break the bank.

The first ones I tried were the ones from the internet angel hair regular shirataki. I didn't really like them. then i tried the tofu ones and one of the websites i read said to make sure you got the angel hair they are the best. But honestly I love the regular spaghetti shape much better but still buy the angel hair and the fetticuine just to change it up occasionally. If I were you I would just give the other one a chance too I don't even want regular pasta anymore, I feel like I am wasting my calories. Usually I just wash and dry my noodles stick in the microwave with some spaghetti sauce and load it with steamed veggies, or I just throw it in with my stir fry. good luck
