Transition from Intense Training

I just completed my first half marathon yesterday and I was wondering how everyone transitions from intense training back to normal workouts. My next even will not be until the spring so there will be a few months of just "normal" workouts and not the major training sessions. Obviously you eat less when you are not burning 1000's of calories per week and only a few hundred per day, but mentally how do you make that transition?

I am very curious to hear responses to this, as I am in the same boat!0

Apparently we are the only two who have to make this transition :laugh:0

I usually welcome the transition at least for a month or so.
After peaking for a competition and putting so much effort into something, I find it mentally relaxing to just recover and maintain for a couple weeks.0
