If you like vegetables and spice, Kimchi is great.

So, I have fallen in love with kimchi.. About a year ago I went to Japan and met my current girlfriend who is Korean. One thing that has always amazed me is how much Koreans can eat and drink, and remain thin. There were nights were a group of American and Korean students would sit in a restaurant from 10PM till 6AM in the morning eating a combination of soups, breaded chicken and other meats. Yet they are all thin. (It also has to do with how much you walk in cities like Tokyo and Seoul.)
One thing I also noticed however, is Koreans eat A LOT of Kimchi. If you haven't heard of kimchi, its basically the korean way of "pickling" vegetables in a chili sauce. Kimchi is amazing for you, and also contains a bacterium (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lactobacillus_kimchii) that helps the digestive system. There are barely and calories, it kills your appetite and gives you great nutrition.
Although the taste isn't for everyone, I suggest giving it a try some time.

Great stuff, just watch out for the salt (like most pickled stuff!)
I adore it, and its usually cheapcheapcheap if you have an asian market nearby.0 -
I LOVE Kimchi!! I could eat it by the gallon (if only it weren't so salty).0
