Starting the Journey

Hi,

I'm new to this site. I've decided enoughs enough and it's time to lose some weight. I'm 29 and currently 294lbs. I used to be heavily into cycling when I was younger around the age of 16) so as I still enjoy watching the sport I've decided that's going to be the best way for me to exercise. I've bought a bike and already been out on a couple of rides. However I need to start monitoring what I'm eating and get that under control too otherwise the exercise isn't doing anything.

This looks like a great site and I'm looking forward to meeting some like minded people for advice, chats and encouragement.

    Thanks that's really nice of you. I know it's going to be a struggle but I'm determined to do it. My other half gave birth to our first baby, 7 months ago, so I need to make sure I'm healthy and fit to take care of them.
