What does it mean when the proteins are in the red? did i eat too many? I never really paid attention to the carb and protein #'s

If a number is in the red, but means you went over the goal that MFP has set for you.
Honestly, MFP underestimates the amount of protein people need, I wouldn't be too concerned with that number going over. I'd be more worried about sugars/fats being in the red at the end of the day.0 -
most of the time im in the green and im under my calorie goal for the day, i cant eat back what i burn in exercise, so for today im in the red and its only lunch time.0

Protein is really the only one where, IMHO, you should aim to be in the red. Unless it's some ridiculously high number, being over on protein is a good thing.0

Carbs / Day 165 g
Fat / Day 40 g
