Hi, everyone! I need someone help with my senior capstone project for my graphic design program at school. I'm not sure if this question is along guidelines for these forums, so I apologize if it doesn't comply...
Anyway,
I need YOUR help for my senior capstone project IF you have been diagnosed with any of the following:
MOOD DISORDERS (Major Depressive Disorder, Dysthymic Disorder, Depressive Disorder Not Otherwise Specified, Bipolar 1 Disorder, Bipolar 2 Disorder, Cyclothymic Disorder, Bipolar Disorder Not Otherwise Specified)
ANXIETY DISORDERS (Panic Disorder without Agoraphobia, Agoraphobia without History of Panic Disorder, Specific Phobia, Social Phobia, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Acute Stress Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Anxiety Disorder due to a General Medical Condition, Anxiety Disorder Not Otherwise Specified)
EATING DISORDERS (Anorexia, Bulimia, Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified)
Also, if you know of anyone who has been diagnosed with any of the preceding, please share this with them. Thank you!

As a fellow graphic design student/teacher (working on my thesis and teaching at the same time) and someone who suffers from an anxiety disorder and has done projects about anxiety, I have to say that a questionnaire really isn't the right medium to get the stories you want.
If I were you, I would phone some youth centres, mental health facilities etc. to ask if you could speak with them and/or some of the patients or young people. You could also post an ad somewhere (supermarkets, forums etc) to ask for it or interview someone via Skype. If you speak to people face to face, you can get way better and more real and in depth stories. You may need to phone a lot, but there's always someone who will help.
A survey should really only be used if you have a list of questions with multiple answers (as a.b.c.d.).0 -
Thanks for the advice. I think you're right!0
