help! my boyfriend is blessed with genes that means he wont put on weight till 30. its a long distance relationship so when i do see him he complains if i want to go out running or walking cos he wants to spend time with me (he doesnt do exercise so we cant go together - ive tried encouraging but to no avail) he also eats huge portions of a very very french diet (lots of fatty meats, fois gras, loads of white bread etc.) which doesnt help me with keeping on track
Any ideas on how i can get round this - it feels like every time i see him I fall off the wagon!

Better half,
Not to be blunt but your not married so its not too late. As a married person, I realized that the minor things about my boyfriend (now husband) that bothered me did not get easier once we took the plunge. I love him dearly but just realize that you will be dealing with this for the rest of your life if you marry him. If weight loss and the struggle to stay fit is going to be a life long battle, which it sounded in you story like it would be, then realize he will forever be unsupportive. You could try explain to him that he does not need to participate but that you will be working out and he better just not comment. Does he know how important this is to you?
