Questions on Zumba licensing class?

Hi! I have been doing Zumba since June of 2011 and I'm addicted! I go to class twice a week and do it in my living room as well. I have my own choreography for a few songs too. I have this thing where if I make a promise I keep it, even if I only made it to myself. Well, I made a promise to take the licensing class if I was still in love with Zumba after a year. I am, in fact we are well past our one year anniversary and I'm still smitten as a kitten!
So...
I know there are instructors out there so I have to ask what is the class like to get licensed? I have no other licenses, I have no other fitness background and I'm not really a dancer. Is there a test? Do you need to have any special skills? What should I bring? Do you take notes and go over things or is it just and 8 hour Zumba class where you drop dead after? Is it incredibly grueling or is it supportive?

I took the licensing class two years ago as my senior project in high school. It was extremely interesting. They say you don't need to have any experience which is nice. The first hour of the course is a zumba class and then the rest of the time is learning the four basic moves and how to make dances to them along with the importance of structure of the class so starting with a warm up and ending with a cool down. It's a long, exhausting day but no you don't dance straight for 8 hours. There are breaks. It's a lot of fun and really worth it. I used the licensing class only for my project and now just go to classes because I don't have the time to be an instructor. But you will definitely learn a lot and have a ton of fun! Good Luck!0
