This is about 2 pounds/week, which is considered a safe weight loss.

However, please try to consider this a lifestyle change, rather than a race to the finish line. Looking at it this way will help you keep the weight off in the long run.

Think of it NOT as a race, but as a self education in correct eating, both in amount and type.

Dieting, like most things requires a sustained proper mental attitude to be successful!

What are you planning to do other than 1200 calories a day in terms of working out? I am on the same mission as you! 30 in 100... just in time for Christmas lunch!!

I'm thinking working out 4 times per week at least with 1 yoga class once a week and badminton on a Sunday... should reach this goal by then!!!?? I hope!!!!

    Good Luck!!!

Yes it is possible. I lost 30 pounds in three months which is about 90 days or so. I worked out six days out of the week and ate 1200+ calories. Good luck!

Hey it's good to have similar goals so that we can accompany each other.
And about work out I've a plan to have walk for 1hr everyday because of busy schedule so I think you've more opportunities to lose weight.

Even though I know how fun it would be to lose so much weight so fast, there is one thing to consider - you might meet your goal each and every day (no matter if it is healthy or not - that's a totally different question that some people might want to answer ;)), but your weight loss is not linear, so you might lose 3 lbs one week, 2 the next, and then for the next week or two stay at the same weight. You might lose inches, you might not. It all depends on so many factors that my head spins (and I probably know only about 1/3 of them all).
Don't rely on mfp's calculations either, 'cause they are well off (at least in my case). The projected weight loss might be awesome and make you believe that it'll work, but the actual weight loss might be and probably will be a totally different story.
You can set it as a goal for yourself for the next 100 days, however simply keep in mind that it is possible, but it might not work as well as you'd like it too :)

And no, I'm no specialist, just talking from my own experience with mfp.

I'm doing a modified low-carbohydrate diet, my meals consist of vegetables (think romaine lettuce salads), with moderate protein and fat. I don't recommend doing what I'm doing. I'm at 1200 calories a day or less. The effects of what I'm doing as far as physical appearance and weight are pretty apparent, but the internal effects on my organs have yet to be known. Highly don't recommend doing this.

I think you can make 30 lbs per 100 days easily and safely by eating at a caloric deficit (not as extreme as mine).

This is not true in everyone's case. I have over 100lbs to lose and I am still losing between 0.5lbs to 2lbs a week. Every body is different. It is good to have a plan but don't think it will be plain sailing. I know people who bust their guts to lose weight and it plateau's or comes off really slowly as is my case and I know people who cheat in their diaries, hardly exercise and their scales jumps down 5lbs every week. Keep your goal but don't be too disappointed if you lose less, you never know you might lose more, just see this as your individual journey and know you are doing good for your body. I myself am not going to put a time on my loss, this is for life and hopefully I have a lot of that left. Good Luck!

Usual workouts range from 20 minutes doing the 30 day shred to 1 hour in the gym alternating treadmill, cross trainer, rower etc. and one day will be a class like zumba or Bums and tums... I try to change it up every week so my body wont get used to it... thats whats happened to my weight loss.... dead stop.... so now have to do a variety of things!
