Hiya folks just want to pick a few brains, im really trying to figure out the calories for this recipe!!
I started trying to find a VERY healthy wholemeal tortilla wrap recipe that i could use for dinners/lunches. I came across this one which states it makes four portions (more like two honestly)
This is the original recipe :
Ingredients
• 120g plain flour
• 80g wholemeal flour.
• a pinch of salt
• 1 vegetable stock cube. Crumbled
• 1 teaspoon of olive oil
• quarter of a pint of warm water

I ALTERED the recipe to make it a bit healthier by making it 100% wholemeal flour. When i rolled out one portion it was really really small, and instead I made two decent sized wraps, one for the hubby and me. They tasted yum, (I only ate half of one and had the rest for lunch the next day
Problem is when i went to figure out my calories i was flabergasted!!!!....
One full wrap uses 100g flour which i didnt think was a lot but im finding out online is about 339 calories!
So when you include my salad/veggie quorn chicken sub/and a spoon of homemade pesto my HALF a wrap was nearly 400 calories???
Am i going nuts is this right for half a wrap!!

You numbers are correct. 800 cals for a loaded tortilla wrap is not uncommon. Use shrimp, more lettuce, tomatoes to keep it down. Spring roll wraps are also less calorie rich.
I love tortillas, make my own since I was 10 and learned to do so in my mother's kitchen. But I can't eat them like I used to.
I'm going on the tortilla diet, it's perfect to lose weight. Said no one. Ever.0 -
