When I first started on MFP I knew I needed to work out in order to loose and get healthy. So a friend of mine suggested that I sign up for a 5k and start running. Well it didn't take long for me realize that I CAN'T RUN! My knees would hurt like heck and 20sec was all I could do. So I took a step back went and brought some good running shoes. Looked up some exercises to help strengthen my knees and started walking. That was a few weeks ago.
Now I can run a quarter mile and do 2miles of road work 5 days a week! I signed up for a 5k in Nov. and feel I well be ready for it. I'm glad I didn't give up.
