Sick and can't workout

I have a sinus infection. I'm not sure if I should push myself to go to the gym or just rest or if there is something else I can do instead of my usual workout. Help is greatly appreciated!

General rule of thumb: If you're sick above the neck - okay to workout. Below the neck - rest.0

I agree - workout. But be gentle with yourself.0

Going for a walk out in the fresh air should be good. It's not as intense as I usually do but still exercise.0

I feel your pain, I am known as the Queen of Sinus infections, I had one every other month last year and it was horrible.
You can still work out, the only way I was able to was take a hot shower before I did my work out, take a couple ibuprofen, work out, then take another hot shower. The heat, steam and ibuprofen will help calm the swelling in your face so you don't feel like living death while you work out.
Try not to do anything that involves bending over, it will make you dizzy. Use an elliptical rather than a treadmill, you have less of a chance of falling off, or even a seated bike.
I am not sure what your normal workout is though. Hope you get to feeling better soon!0 -
If nothing else, going for a walk shouldn't cause any damage and it might feel nice too. Hope you feel better soon- I know how much sinus infections suck!0

I guess my opinion may be a little different but I'd say if you honestly don't feel like it, then don't. Or just go for a little walk instead perhaps!0
