I keep hearing that people should use real sugar vs. artifical because it is so bad for you. I never hear the negative effects it has so I was hoping people could explain it here.
Thanks!

I just read an article about that. One lady started a post earlier titled Splenda (or something of the like) and she cited an article aboout the worst and best sugars. And it stated why in the article. It was a good read, turned me off of splenda for sure! From what i can remember there both bad for you. Maybe you can find the thread and reaad the article.0

I heard that Splenda and other sweetners have Cancer causing chemicals. I switched over and started using splenda in my coffee each morning and after a month I started to develop very painful headaches that I had never experienced. My vision started to become very sensative to the lighting at my workplace.
I had never suffered with headache before, so i started to figure out what i was doing different that I wasn't in prior months. I came to the conclusion that it was the Splenda. I googled Splenda to see if others had encountered the same side effects, and sure enough there were many others.
i stopped using Splenda and will never use it again. I never use sugar, it just packs on pounds. Now for my coffee I only use 1 vanilla creamer, which sweetens just enough with no side effects. I hope i was able to help a little.0
