Paddle over here Mr. Saylor Stevens ! That is a super groovy way to burn calories.. I guess putting a toy boat in the bathtub with me, wouldn't burn the same amount of calories..

:smokin: I love kayaking! I have 4 kayaks. I just sold one (used to have 5). It was my very first kayak. I have fished from my kayak in Michigan (Great Lakes and rivers leading to the Great Lakes). I have kayaked in North Carolina in the Cape Fear River, the Lumber River, Jordan Lake, Shearon Harris and in the inlets of the Outer Banks. I always look forward to the next adventure.

I'd love to. But I debate your assertation that it's relativly inexpensive. Mostly, in my area access to enough water to float is the biggest issue. Which means I'd burn a ton of fuel to find some.

At ten dollars a pop, I don't consider it inexpensive. A yearly pass is about equal to what I spent on my Wii, including all the games, but I can Wii every day, at any hour. And we can use it together, without any additional fee. And hopefully it will last more than a year.

But if you would be willing to gift us a Hobie Tandem Island, I would be happy to join in the fun!

Bwahaha, I just realized that the TI is a longer than our sailboat!

I love kayaking. Getting into it wasn't cheap, though.
