Heavy yard work should count for what?

I was busting serious butt this morning. Raking up hay in the goat yard and dumping it in the burn pile took about an hour. And then downing some trees with the chainsaw and hauling the wood for another hour. Running that chainsaw had me huffing and puffing and sweating bullets for at least twenty minutes of that hour. I think I burned at least 250 calories, maybe more. Anybody have a better guess? I don't want to underestimate what I burned, but I certainly don't want to over estimate either.

250 sounds a tad conservative, actually. For two hours of reasonable effort, I think you'd be very safe with 400-500 calories.0

I like your estimate better. I'll go with the 400. Thanks!0

I made a new category for myself called "gardening - ninja"
gave it a little less than chopping wood.
when I do easy gardening I use the "gardening - general" one0
