Mason Jar Salads

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has made these "Mason Jar Salads" and if you have did you vacuum seal the jars or did you just place the canning lids and rings on and that was fine to keep in the fridge for a week? I only need them to last a week. Just curious if I can go without using the vacuum sealer/food saver?

    I've not made them myself but I believe you can just place the canning lids and rings on. At least the recipes I've seen don't mention vacuum sealing...
