Make small changes. Substitute things you KNOW are bad for healthier options. Mostly don't put yourself on a time schedule. It's okay to have goals and a set date or whatever but you need to be flexible. You may lose slower than that. What's important is you reach your end goal.

    Good luck

The cheapest and best exercise to start with is walking. Start by seeing how long you can walk without tiring. Then start increasing your distance and time from there.

Use what you have around you- the wall is great for wall push ups. Use a chair for tricep dips. Do jumping jacks or crunches while you are watching tv during the commercial breaks. Those little things will add up. If you cant buy hand weights, use canned food or anything you can find. Self.com has a lot of great workout ideas that you can do without a gym or lots of equipment. Squats and lunges are always great also.
  • Good luck to you! You can lose 110 pounds in one year, assuming you never hit any road bumps and you are hard core that entire year. My advice would be to set small goals for yourself each week. That should help you along the way. Plan your meals ahead of time, and get rid of all the crap food in your house. Make sure you always have healthy snacks on hand.

Bodybuilding.com has all kinds of free workouts, nutrition and training advice. Good luck to you!

I'm 11 pounds into my 120 pounds-to-lose journey. Want to lose it by Friday, but it may take me a couple of years.

Right now my focus is on eating healthy foods, staying properly hydrated and logging every bite, every day. It's really paying off for me. I know that I'll be adding more exercise soon, once I've got these adjustments to my lifestyle well and truly in place.

In the meantime, I have found just "doing something" every time a commercial comes during my TV watching time makes a big difference...even though I pvr my shows, I often don't fast-forward through commercials, I get up and do things--load the dishwasher, dust, gather laundry, prep my lunches, grind the coffee beans for the morning....I also keep dumbbells by my chair to do bicep curls, etc. They take up very little space.

All the best to you--keep your healthy self a priority and you will accomplish this!
