Question for you 'maintainers'?

For those who have lost good amounts of weight and then maintained it for a while, at what point did you up calories as you got close to the goal? I am 5 or 6 pounds away from what I set as my original goal and am eating 1600 calories a day net (eating back 1/2 of exercise or so most of the time). At 5'8" and 165, I'm probably going to be right around a 2000 calorie net maintenance level. My question is at what point to I kick it up to 1700-1800-1900 to ease into that maintenance level?
Thanks.
Thanks.

It may be a case of trial and error to find the sweet spot. Try gradually introducing more calories over a period of a few weeks to let your body get used to it. You may even find you lose more quickly at the higher calorie limit after a while.

You can always run your numbers again and see what it says.

I say now is the time...
add 100 calories, do that for a week, add another 100, do another week, etc.
more weight WILL still come off, and by the time you hit your maintenance number, you will have reached your goal weight.
I actually estimate you'll be eating about 2500-2600, not 2000..... heck, I eat 2000, I'm 5'2" 120 lbs and female....0
