Good, Simple Salads

Let's have a thread about salads. I prefer "different" salads. I've had a thousand cobbs and caesars, you know? So let's talk about the more interesting ones we've had, preferably simple ones. The one I did this morning was this:

Strawberry Balsamic Dressing
(Homemade, with two tbsp of polaner strawberry, tablespoon of balsamic, and 2 tsp of almond oil)
5 big leaves of green leaf lettuce
1 red bell pepper sliced nice and thin
2 tablespoons of bacon bits (real ones)
1 tablespoon of blue cheese

It sounds really easy, but it's very good! It's something like 290 calories. I had a couple slices of multigrain bread with it. If I don't eat a complex carb, I find I get hungry. If you're more an extra-protein person, it would probably be good with a boiled egg or ham instead of bacon bits. I dunno if I see chicken, but I'm one of those odd people who is NOT of the opinion that chicken goes with everything. I'm going to try it with tuna tomorrow. I'll update when I do. :)
