Emailaholics Anonymous

I got 23,986 emails in my gmail account. I don't know how many in my hotmail, though I had it for about the same time. Should I get help? Should I delete them all? Will the planet's electricity consumption be noticeably improved if we all deleted all our emails?(think host servers/databases).

Are there any disciples of psychology out there who can enlighten us on what this issue says about us?

How many emails do you have in your email account?

I have a new serious email problem. :D

I can't clean mine out either. Lets look.... Gmail holds 36,147 messages. Ouch.
I keep my gmail account to recent 5 days on my phone because I can't stand seeing them all there. It's like information overload. But I can't part with them on the server.

I used to have over 8,000 in my inbox, then I decided I was just going to clean up the crap. Not delete, but stick everything in folders. Organize a couple hundred each day and you'd be surprised how fast you get 'em outta there.

I'm down right now to 3-10 in the home inbox before I file them away.
