The doctor said my leg pain was shin splints, don't know how bad they are yet, but I know they hurt. Any suggestions on exercise that I can do that is easy on the shins and knees? I usually do the treadmill for 45 minutes (can't do that now - at least not fast enough to burn any worthy calories or get my heart rate up) and/or the 30 minute circuit workout at Planet Fitness.

Bike on low resistance, and possibly the elliptical. Or just stick with strength training for a little while.
Make sure you're icing those shins!0 -
Hi, I'm a runner and have suffered from shin splints for many years. After taking a break from running I began training for a half marathon. But I became concerned with the idea of developing shin splints again. There are several YouTube videos on curing shin splints and exercises to prevent shin splints:

I've tried these exercises and they do work.
Good Luck!0
