Mistake #1

I did not get myself any healthy candy or sweet alternatives today. I saw a Snickers and my mouth started watering....and kept watering. I felt like a drug addict. Eventually I got the Snickers. I don't regret it. I regret not preparing better for the inevitable. I love candy bars and I would have eaten a FiberOne bar instead to get the taste of it.

I have felt the same way with the whole drug addict, pretty depressing. Go to the grocery store and get a few of the bars you eat and start fresh tomorrow0

I am. That has always been my slippery slope. Sugar. 'one candy bar/pint of Haagen Daz won't hurt." " I can start again tomorrow." I am happy to say that it did not taste good and I'll make a note of it in my food diary. Hopefully that helps along with having a more sensible alternative.0

So, once sugar is in the blood it will make you crave it more. I try to get dark chocolate - so that I can get some chocolately goodness, but it is better for me & doesn't have the same amount of sugar. Try to stay as strong as you can - and don't fall into the trap of making one mistake means you eat like crap for the rest of the day. Even small steps are ones to build on!0
